[Bell Historians] Local history day school in All Saints, Evesham, on Saturday 11th October 2014

List members may be interested to know of this forthcoming event in Evesham
next Saturday. Although it’s short notice, it’s not too late to book! Here
are details from the published promotional material:

 

A day celebrating the history & beauty of bells, belfries, chimes and time
in Worcestershire!

An impressive line-up of speakers for this local history day:

*	Chris Pickford (eminent expert on bells & bell-ringing)
*	David Beacham (Worcester DAC advisor on clocks, chimes & carillons)
*	David Cox (authority on Evesham Abbey)
*	Chris Povey (Ringing Master of Evesham’s Bell Tower)
*	George Dawson (The Bellfoundry Museum, Loughborough)
*	David Hope (Great Malvern Priory)

Not only do we have speakers from Worcester, Malvern and Evesham, but the
day includes a tour of the ringing chamber of Evesham’s iconic Bell Tower.

*	When? Saturday 11th October 2014; 9:30am to 4pm (a full &
fascinating day!)
