H B Walters shows the back 6 bells having been transferred from the old  
church, with the tenor being replaced in 1887. Two trebles were added and were 
 dedicated on 26th March 1949. Almost the last time I can recall the bells 
being  rung  was at the Central Council meeting in 1995. They were perfectly 
 ringable then but plans were already afoot to convert the ringing-chamber 
for  other uses. Neil Skelton can possibly provide other details on the 
bells.
