Ron Johnston has just drawn this to my attention, suggesting that it should
be circulated among bell historians. It sounds a good venture - I've met Luc
Rombouts and he's a fine Carilloneur, very knowledgeable about bells - and I
hope that the scheme will meet with success.
Better still, it would be good to ensure that we get decent coverage in it
for British bells!
That's up to us to contribute

Dear colleague,
Several months ago, an announcement was made of a peer-reviewed scholarly
periodical on bells and bell cultures, Journal of Campanology (JOC),
published by Leuven University Press in collaboration with the Singing
Bronze Foundation. JOC will appear on a six-monthly basis (April and
October) and will be instrumental in developing campanology to an
established interdiscliplinary scholarly domain.
>From now on, all practical information about JOC can be found on the
following website:
http://upers.kuleuven.be/en/Journal-Campanology
For the first issue (April 2018), you can submit:
before September 30:
- research articles (5,000 - 10,000 words)
before October 31:
- 'Innovating heritage': best practices in safeguarding bell or carillon
culture (100-300 words)
- Main findings from congresses or colloquies (200-500 words)
