I was in the Library this week and found the peal. Attached is a photograph of the relevant page.

2 of that band rang a peal at Sonning marking I assume the 100th anniversary of the College Youths winning the cup.

Ancient Society of College Youths

5040 Grandsire Triples
Holt's Original
Composed by Holt
1J R Howarth
2James Pettitt (C)
3G Nash
4Mathew A Wood
5William Greenleaf
6J Martin Routh esq
7William Newell
8George Payne
Ringers of 1 to 5 are from London, 6th from Tilehurst, 7th from Reading and Tenor from Sonning

When you next have the book may I please know the full name of J R Howarth and G Nash ?. This peal is in a frame behind the tenor. A peal was attempted I believe in 1983 but failed when the 5th rope broke.

Thank you,
