[Bell Historians] Loose

I seem to remember Harry Parkes (who rehung the bells in 1952) telling me it
was a clock hammer which cause the tenor to become cracked. Perhaps
history repeated itself several times!

The bells were certainly hung for full circle ringing before 1952, as most
of the old fittings were reused in the rehang carried out in that year.

According to Dickon Love’s website

They were hung for ringing and the tenor was indeed recast, often!

I have found a potential entry for the WW1 Rolls of Honour from this church..

To save Alan Regin the job of asking, does anyone know if these bells were
rung full circle as at 1916.

Perhaps the tenor is a recast ?

Thank you,

David
