A mears 3 of 1842, so the chances are they were still ringable in the WW1 period.

Thank you for your help about my 2 previous enquiries.

 

I am now looking at a James Holmes Greenbank, lost in WW1, who was a ringer at this unringable tower.

 

Were they in a condition to be rung full circle at the time of WW1 please ?
