[Bell Historians] OLD BELL

A cross formed with diamonds, and standing on a base of diamonds (or in this case boxes) is a common decorative theme on old Spanish bells.  I have seen several such.  But without any inscription, it is unlikely that its maker could be identified.
The best Spanish source that I know is campaners.com, which has inventories of the contents of many Spanish towers.  The English section of that Website is relatively recent and simple, and is not equivalent to the much more extensive Spanish & Catalan section.

The shape, with the angled lip, looks rather Italianesque to me.

It looks interesting, but where did it come from?  Some sort of provenance would be helpful.

Hi can anyone point me in the right direction that can help me figure out what the history is of a bell that i have?

I believe it is a very old church bell it has small boxes with 9 dots in them forming a cross.

Thank You

Kurt
