Subject: [Bell Historians] Church bells of Cornwall
would anyone know where I can find copy of church bells of Cornwall ( canon
1977)?, I have had a lot of problems trying to find this book in the past
and neither Abebooks or eBay are helpful ( unless of course you are looking
for copies of HB Walter's church bells of England or a couple of old central
council leaflets!).
Regards

Oliver,
I have seen this book. It is a small, A5 publication that contains rather
sketchy information. I got the impression that it was just pulled together
from material to hand (Arthur Cannon was the Truro Guild librarian, I
believe), and that no actual research was done.
Chris Pickford has a file of quite comprehensive notes on bells in Cornwall,
which is much better than Cannon's book. If you ask him very nicely, he
might be willing to share it with you.
