Just seen this, I was an apprentice at Bowen foundry from 1960, it was a coaching house many years previously, sited at the bottom of Mount Pleasant, very old buildings built over the river fleet, I remember having to make a bell in bronze using horse manure and straw, we had 5 troughs of sand for small moulding, and a ‘floor’ for large castings, Bob
