[Bell Historians] Whitechapel records post 1945

I'm not sure if this subject has been touched on  in the past but I am wondering how easy it would be to access some of Whitechapel's later records?, although much of their earlier stuff (including frame plans and inspection records) are fairly easy to view at the London archives a lot of their job files (specifically the ones from about 1945 onwards) seem to be marked with an "access by written permission" banner which I find very confusing. After contacting the archive about this they recommended that I get in touch with Alan Hughes but after getting no reply to my email (which was sent Via the foundry's old email Address) I decided not to pursue the matter further given that nobody seemed interested in helping me, Taylors however is an entirely different story not only does the foundry encourage researchers like myself but all of their job files are easily accessible and last month I spent an enjoyable day going through their records as well as those of the Ranald Clouston collection. My main reason for asking is mostly because there are two towers local to me that are Whitechapel Jobs and as the frames were both renewed at the time I'm very interested what existed before the work was carried out?

P/s for clarification the towers in question are Matching Essex (rehung 1990 in a new lowside frame) and Much Hadham Herts (augmented to eight 1949 and rehung in a new oak frame )
