Hi All


Just to send a note round on behalf of Chris Shore who is coordinating plans for Cherry Hinton Tower Open Afternoon as part of Cherry Hinton Festival on Saturday 15 September.


There are many activities already planned in and around Cherry Hinton church on the above date - and although we won't be ringing a peal as the website states (which will be amended) - the plan is to host an open afternoon between 3pm - 5pm.


Chris has thought through some plans as below as to how the ringing slot might work - please drop him an email if you are available and wish to be involved on:

5 minute intro to tower and ringing

10 -15 mins - ringing introductory performance piece

30 mins - open tower for people to learn more about ringing, ask questions

10 - 15 mins - taster session for anyone who wants to chime a bell (or half pulls if we have a teacher willing to be around and be involved in this)

Repeat all of above if there is sufficient interest

Finish with another 5 minutes of ringing

Festival week 2018 will run from 15th to 22nd September. We have lots of new events for you to look forward to. The Cherry Hinton Bellringers will mark the start of Festival week with a peal at 3pm on Saturday 15th at St Andrew’s Church.
