[Cherry-hinton-ringers] Cherry Hinton practices - Christmas 2018

Hi All

Just  a note to confirm that Tuesday 18 December will be the last Cherry Hinton practice night for a couple of weeks.

We won't practice on Christmas Day (Tues 25), or New Years Day (Tues 1 Jan) - practices will resume on Tuesday 8 Jan.

Thank you for all your support this year - and here's to 2019 in ringing.

See you this Tuesday first though !

Good evening!

For your sins, I am IT on Tuesday.  I'm not sure who will be there in
the run up to Christmas, but let's put something Festive on the menu:
Robin Place Doubles
Holly Delight Minor

Naturally, there will be Call Changes and Plain Hunt, and hopefully
Caroline will tenor behind or ring inside to Plain Hunt on the 3, and
there will be ye olde faithfuls - let's see who turns up.

Attached are the diagrams for Robin and Holly.
Robin Place Doubles has St Martin's front work, but the backwork is
unusual - sorry, I didn't make the method up!
Holly Delight Minor is Norwich above the treble with Norwich place bell
order (2,3,5,6,4).  2nd's place bell is simply Kent front work.  5ths
place after dodgng with the treble comes down to make 4 blows in 4ths
instead of 2 blows in 3rds (likewise 6ths place bell), and the other
bells lead, 4 blows in 3rds, lead and either pass or dodge with the
treble.  Simples!

Hopefully, I'll be there at 7:15 for an early bird start - Amanda, do
you know who will be opening up?
