[Cherry-hinton-ringers] Cherry Hinton practice - Tuesday 30 November

  Hi All

We plan to go ahead with Cherry Hinton practice on this coming Tuesday 30 November.

We will plan to hold a 7pm handling session for learners and teachers only with main practice as usual from 7.30pm.

The first half hour practice will be masked until 8pm - although please be aware that the learner practice between 7pm - 7.25pm may be unmasked.

As previously, the practice will take place anyway so no need to let me know if you intend to come along, unless its for not being able to attend the 7pm practice, for those involved.

Ian / Annemarie / Marina - I will arrange for a key to be in key-safe from you to access at 7pm - this coming week

Tower heating
Following discussions on Tuesday about the need for some heat on practice evenings as we enter the winter months,  and the issues surrounding lack of portable heaters and plugs. I thought back to pre-pandemic practice nights and remembered that Karin used to set the heating on a timer for us which did make a big difference to the temperature in the church.

Karin has agreed to set the church heating to run from 6.30 - 8.45pm as this is easier than sorting the plug and portable heating situation given the above challenges.

I do realise that even with church heating there have been issues in the past regarding temperature so lets use this coming week as a trial, check that Karin has set up and activated everything correctly, see if its warm enough for the practice - and if not I'll follow up until we get this right.
