[Cherry-hinton-ringers] Cherry Hinton stay

Dear Both,

I saw Andy yesterday and he said the Meldreth stay made while you wait at White’s of Appleton cost £105. However he has source wood for stays that work out at £30 a stay and Tom is set up to shape stays. Is the Cherry Hinton stay straight or tapered? If Ian or I can pick up the broken stay on Tuesday we can give it to Tom when we ring at Great Wilbraham on Wednesday.
John Coppendale at Little Shelford said they had spare stays which Cherry Hinton could have to trim down to fit. As there is a stay fitted I thought it as more a matter of getting a set of spare stays and templates so if when they break they are truly smashed there is something to have as a pattern.
