[Cherry-hinton-ringers] Cherry Hinton Practice - Tuesday 21st October

Hi Will,

This is a variation of the one we’ve been using at Little Shelford. Maybe this version is one that is actually “true”!

The one we use goes as follows:

Treble: Plain hunting to long fifths and back

2nd: Plain hunting between 2nds and 4ths

3rd: Plain hunting between 3-4 up each time

4th: Plain hunting between 3-4 down each time

5th: Plain hunting between long fifths and normal leading

It’s easier for people to learn, I think. But 3 and 4 still get good practice to 3-4 dodging.

Dear All

Hope you have all been having a nice weekend! As I am IT this coming Tuesday (having switched with Robert who will now run the 28th Oct), is there anything people have a burning desire to ring?

We had a request this morning for Bayles Bob Doubles for Will H to practice 3/4 dodging (https://ringingteachers.org/application/files/8916/1427/3217/Bayles_Bob_Doubles.pdf). So if we could all become familiar with this (if needed) ahead of the practice, that would be a bonus 🙂 Many thanks!

Looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday!

Will
