[Cherry-hinton-ringers] Diane Quarrie funeral ringing

[Amanda Cator]

Hi All

Further to my email a few weeks ago about Diane Quarrie who used to ring a Cherry Hinton 10 years ago - I'm circulating the details of Diane's funeral as requested by her daughter due to take place on Friday 8 May 10.30am.

Diane's daughter Claire has asked if there would be any volunteers from Cherry Hinton to ring at Stapleford for about 10 minutes at 9.30am on Friday 8 May as the hearse will leave from Stapleford church. Claire and her daughter are willing to ring, so if anyone from the tower wants to join them given there is no local band at Stapleford, let me know and I'll link you up with Claire to make arrangements.

There is no expectation that anyone who volunteers to ring should go onto the crematorium.

Thanks Amanda

Subject: Update - Diane Quarrie

Hi All

Some of you may remember Diane Quarrie who used to ring with us on a Tuesday about 10 years ago from Stapleford. Diane's daughter Claire contacted me yesterday to pass on the news that Diane had been in a care home for the past 2 years and has been suffering from dementia. She is now receiving end of life care.

Claire asked me to pass on the news to those who would have remembered Diane joining us at Cherry Hinton.

I have responded and expressed our sadness at hearing this news. If anyone wants to contact Claire directly - she has given permission for her email address to be passed on.

Thanks Amanda
