[Cherry-hinton-ringers] Heather and ringing

[Vee Webster]

FYI I've just been looking back on BB and at Heather's request there were 3 QPs in memory of her family member (an uncle I think) who died aged 20 in WW1,https://bellboard.uk/view.php?id=1702036https://bellboard.uk/view.php?id=1241694https://bellboard.uk/view.php?id=1782473 and we also rang for her 81st birthday in January 2023.https://bellboard.uk/view.php?id=1591960
Kind regards
Vee

Dear all, I'm not sure how many of you would have known Heather at CH church. Since I have rung there she has been HUGELY supportive of the bell ringers, including requesting we rang QPs in memory of her uncle who died during the war, and we rang for one of her significant birthdays. I've just heard that Heather passed away yesterday. This is the lovely message from our vicar and picture of Heather on FBDear St Andrew's Family,It's with great sadness, mixed with a little bit of joy, that I am writing to tell you that Heather took her final bus ride yesterday and is, we believe, now at her final destination. She loved a journey and was really looking forward to this one; she was ready and 'hopped aboard' with her usual enthusiasm. Her end was very peaceful and I had the incredible privilege of being able to anoint, pray and sing over her shortly before she passed.Heather held our church in her heart for many years. And those of us who knew her, and worked with her, will hold her in our hearts for many more. With much love, as you hear this sad news,Karin'Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints'Psalm 116.15 See less

I've liaised with Caroline and we thought it would be nice to ring a QP in thanksgiving for Heather's life asap. Are any of you around tomorrow or Thursday evening from 6pm onwards and would like to ring? If so please let me know the time(s) you are available, we'll check the church availability and get back to you asap.
thanks
Vee
