[Cherry-hinton-ringers] Cherry Hinton tenor update (Ringing cancelled until repair)

Hi all,

As many of you are aware, as Robert sent round an email last Tuesday, the tenor in Cherry Hinton has a broken gudgeon pin. In discussion with Robert, we have agreed that given such a fault affects the stability of the bell, it would be unwise to continue ringing of the remaining 5 bells at least until we have had the situation assessed (and hopefully repaired) by a professional bellhanger. I have been in contact with Whites of Appleton to arrange an inspection, but as yet have not been able to firm up a date for this - I'll be following up on Monday.

So, with regret, I think we will have to cancel ringing on Tuesday and Sunday until we know more about a timeline for repair. I shall provide updates on the matter to keep you all aware.

Apologies for any inconvenience - I hope that we can get the tenor back in action soon!
