Just providing a quick update on the state of the Cherry Hinton tenor and associated ringing possibilities. On Friday, Robert kindly guided Graham (from Whites of Appleton) up into the belfry. During the inspection, Graham concluded that it is safe enough to
 ring the front 5 bells of the tower. With this in mind, limited <b>practice could go ahead on Tuesdays</b> until a repair is carried out.</div>

I will be in touch with Karin about establishing an urgent permission from the archdeacon to allow the repair works to go ahead. These could begin as early as 5th/6th November. However, I'm still expecting an email from Whites with further information post-inspection,
 including any quotes/estimates for the work.</div>
