The obvious answer is Bristol S:

  Major: -1  'm'
  Royal: +1  'g'
  Max:   +3  'j'
  14:    +5  'j2'
  16:    +7  'j4'
  18:    -8  'k5'

... Until you realise that this is just -8 throughout.

The unorthodox extension of Northumberland in the previous
email is an example that really does change on each stage.

As to a more commonly rung method, I can't think of one off
the top of my head.
