My mate Philip Abbey has something similar to this. I think it's a 
work-in-progress, and I haven't had a chance to have a good look at it, but 
subscribers may be interested:

Click on the "Grid & Edit" tab and then the "Enable editing" checkbox. You 
can then click away on the grid. Some symmetry effects appear to be 
supported, and it tells you the method type of what you've currently 
created.
