Magic blocks have been used in Doubles as far back as 1973.
A handbell peal of 250 Methods was rung by Steve & Sue Coleman and
Peter Scott for the Southampton Uni Guild.
The majority of the methods were in the first 20 or so extents and
multi extent blocks and mainly the work of Peter Scott. I have a copy
of his notes somewhere which contains figures for a qtr peal in 126
methods.

Sadly the forward thinking CC method committee put the kibosh on a
large number of the methods - so no change there.
