Yes, I should have mentioned that I already have the vertical symmetry
restriction. Right place would restrict the search (and I may try it) but  I
am not sure about right place methods being easier. With this length of
course, it could result in sections being too samey.

Searching for double methods to reduce the search space was my first thought
- I will need to relax the pn56 restriction, but optimising the truth hash
to include row reversals will mean that searches will only need to be for a
quarter of a lead rather than half a lead at present.
