After Mark's latest major triumphs, and various exhaustive maximus searches, it's hard to see where future developments might lie in tenors-together Bristol. Have we come to the end of the line?

Well, it's important not to be too constrained by to sticking to previous approaches. Last night we rang a new B12 composition with maximally efficient linkage - there wasn't a single lead of a "duffer course", and this was achieved with just 10 calls in the whole peal (an average of a call every 10.8 leads). Presumably this is the fewest calls in a peal of surprise maximus yet rung.
