Hi everyone
As all those who know me will say, I do not ring Grandsire (n>5) at all. I
have to call a qtr. of GT for the Torch relay so I shall ring the treble and
call this one from the diary:
1260 By the bells 'before':
4D, 5D, 6, 7, 2, 3, 4, 5 for 1456723,
6D, 7D, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 for 1672345;
2D, 3D, 4, 5, 6, 7, 2, 3 for rounds.
nD = "n with a double", i.e. bob with n before, then a bob at the next lead.
It is easy to call. 'Before' means the bell making ordinary 3rds and this is
the bell which the treble takes off leads. The part ends are interesting too
as they are just the 'calling'.
In ordinary notation, the touch starts PPPBB PPPPBB PPPB......
Best wishes
Robin
