Why a 7 part? There are some interesting compositions other than 7 parts, of
9 methods. (see my website rrhorton.net and search the spliced collection).

This one by Alan Reading is definitely not the standard 8 plus one!

Does anyone have a good 7-part composition of Spliced Surprise Major in nine
interesting methods? I imagine there might be some demand for one in 2016.
I'm aware of two by Richard Allton: one in the so-called standard eight plus
Glasgow, and a second one substituting Belfast for Yorkshire. But I'd
rather not ring the so-called standard eight plus one. What about the
Nottingham eight plus Belfast? Or something else entirely?
