There are further letters on pages 312 and 316 of the RW 1983 refuting Giles’ claims re two of the peals of Cambridge (by Baldwin and Dench from the 1968 RW). I have checked these using two programs today and they are true, as is the composition by AJ Pitman to which he refers. I don’t have a copy of any 5088 by J Carter so cannot confirm one way or the other.
Robin - you set my pulse racing as a number of Kent CA peals seemed about to disappear from our records! It’s worth stressing that any transcription errors must have been GBT’s since they are correct as published in the RW!
