JEC:
"Philip is some sort of ringing genius, so I am loath to comment"

And John is a master of ambiguous sentences. Still I struggle to accept
his accolades, coming as they do without qualifications.

"...does this 'enormous tittums' really cut the mustard? The back bells
sound so emphatic working their way up and down that it almost sounds
like rounds or back rounds on five, at times. None of the excitement of
working up to something and reaching a climax"

But you've got continual excitement, a huge bold and yet still subtle
effect. You also get a build to (and away from) a climax, which occurs
when the treble is around the very back or front of the change, leading
to maximal coursing (where you get to hear rounds / reverse rounds on
the front and back eights). Focus, man.
