John Fisher: "Would anybody argue that nths-place Plain Bob should be
considered a separate method to plain hunt? If not, what is the
difference between the two cases?"

Are Cambridge and Primrose the same method or not?

Answer: Most practical ringers would say they are different. It is the
way they learn and, more importantly, ring them. They like to learn the
line! They like detailed descriptions of what to do at calls! etc.. They
usually have great difficulty in ringing say, York S Minor, as Cambridge
over London, even when they ring Cambridge 'perfectly' and London on a
good day.

Decsribing things by how they are rung was how we got into this fix in
the first place. The Particles peal-ringers wanted it analysed as rung,
not to fit the decisions.
