Yes - they were the front 6 of the 27 cwt ten which preceded the 12
which preceded the present 12! The old 12 was the first ring to have a 
semitone (2#) (Before someone corrects me, Exeter was a relict from the
past rather than a specifically cast semitone!). The old Leeds 12 were
apparently also the first bells to travel by rail.
