Ranald Clouston's papers were split three ways - the Suffolk stuff went to
the Suffolk Record Office (Bury), the Scottish material to the National
Monuments Record of Scotland, and the rest to the Pitt Rivers in Oxford. I
have made use of all three parts at various times.

The records at the Pitt Rivers have been moved out of Oxford to off-site
storage. The collection wasn't very accessible at the Museum and I believe
it may be even less so now. It would do no harm, though, to enquire at the
Museum if you would like to see anything.
