I have a picture of the bell at Richard's Castle. I shall try to dig it out
and scan it. It is certainly a nice bell.

Subject: [Bell Historians] big Shropshire bells
Has anyone got decent colour photos of any of the trio of large single
Taylor bells in Shropshire - Wellington, Tong and, particularly, Richards
Castle which apparently has one of Taylor's earliest cast iron headstocks.
The only one of the three I've seen is Tong, and unfortunately it was only
briefly and I didn't have the camera with me. It was certainly an impressive
sight, practically filling its relatively small chamber. Also, does anyone
have details of the ring of six at Tong - I recall them as being quite nice.
I did also get to ring the great bell (with the clapper tied) when I rang
there. It makes Exeter tenor seem a doddle!
