I rang a peal of London S Major there in 1995 ... Steve Coaker managed to
survive that one too! (We met short for a peal of Royal, which in itself was
a band short for the intended Maximus!!!) The back 8 sound superb.

Not strictly relevant to the history of bells, but certainly to that of
bellringers:

Neil Lomas, a well known ringer from Wilmslow in Cheshire, once took a band
to Oldham to ring a peal of Oxford Major on the back eight - he turned the
tenor in. When asked why, he explained than in the only previous attempt to
do this the tenor ringer had died part-way through the peal.
