Websites

In view of the recent discussion on this list and others about the web
publication of bell-related information, particularly with respect to
its being available for future generations, I wonder whether is would be
a good idea for the CC library to take full print outs of website data,
particularly the 'county bell book' type websites. Obviously, these
sites are mostly changing quite regularly, but I think that there would
nevertheless be value in making a hard copy for archival once the site
had reached a reasonably complete stage, and at specific points from
then on - say once a year. Websites have great potential for publishing
information, but their main drawback is that they are transitory and can
disappear in the twinkling of an eye. Do people think this would be a
good idea, and does the library in fact already do it? If not should we
reccomend it?
