"I'm sure someone could do the stats, but it would be interesting to see
from
Dove, from the tenors with exact weights, what percentage are x-x-1, what
percentage are x-x-2 etc etc. A rough guess at about 4000 tenors with exact
weights, that is probably enough to have a representative sample?"

Just done this with Kent. I have 1596 weights that are reckoned to be
accurate. The breakown is:

0	7%
1	3%
2	4%
3	3%
4	3%
5	3%
6	4%
7	3%
8	4%
9	4%
10	5%
11	3%
12	3%
13	3%
14	4%
15	3%
16	4%
17	4%
18	3%
19	4%
20	3%
21	5%
22	3%
23	3%
24	3%
25	4%
26	4%
27	3%

I guess the 7% for the x-x-0 means that I haven't flagged all the
approximate weights yet! But the large number of 0-0-21 and 0-0-10 is
interesting.
