[Bell Historians] Dove inexactitudes

I've been told the policy of local wishes getting preference before. In
general, it seems totally daft to me that the unsubstantiated opinion of
some local ringer should take preference over an estimate based on
knowledge of someone who knows about bells. Surely Dove should be aiming
for accuracy, or as close as possible, not fable and fiction,
particularly in the case of tenor weights where, as we all know, there
is often a local tendency to grossly exaggerate.
