[Bell Historians] clappers

The SG Clappers in the 11th and tenor at Coventry have both failed 
three times since the bells' installation in 1987. Last October our 
visiting band at Queen Camel had the 5th clapper break towards the 
end (fortunately) of our visit and this was a pretty newish SG 
clapper.

Is there a problem with SG clappers for bells of over a ton?
