Pretty sure that the Port Sunlight job in 1951 was just a rehang - a gudgeo=
ns and bearings job? - that didn't involve retuning, but would welcome clar=
ification.

Subject: [Bell Historians] G&J in 1951

Dear all,

G&J did some work on Port Sunlight bells in 1951 (they are 1904 Mears bel=
ls), including retuning and rehanging. Were they doing all of this work th=
emselves at the time? I'm no headstock expert, but they are pretty hefty f=
or the weight of tenor (14-1-25) - what is the background to this?

Thanks,

Mark
