Unusual, yes - unique, yes and no! "Private" chimes have included

Abberley Hall,Worcs 20 78-2-0 in G, reduced to a clock chime upon the 
death of the owener in 1939

Chobham, Surrey, Westcroft Private Estate 23 15-0-26 in F#, likewise 
reduced to a clock chime upon the death of the owner

Dunecht House, 8 12cwt - transferred as ringing peal to Haddington.

I assume that they were in "the house" and not a separate chapel of 
some description.
