I am only aware of one other incised bell in Buckinghamshire (at
Quainton, if I remember correctly) so how common are incised bells in
general?
John
According to 'Church Bells of Wiltshire', the treble (William Cockey, 1733)
and second (Robert Burford 1410) at Semley had additional inscriptions
engraved on them when the back 4 bells were recast by Mears in 1878.
