The College Youths records for this period consist of the name books
(extracts below) and the peal books (not searched), but beyond that there is
little. The name books won't give any indication of a member's ringing
ability. Moreover, the Society encouraged people with an interest in ringing
to join (as well as practical ringers) ao membership at this date doesn't
necessarily imply that they were ringers. However, the following bell
historians were College Youths:
Rev. J.J. Raven, Bugay, Suffolk - elected 1862
Rev. H.T. Ellacombe, Clyst St.George, Devon - elected 1861
Rev. W.C. Lukis, Wath, near Ripon, Yorks - elected 1865
