[Bell Historians] Diagonal Frames

Thanks to all of you who have sent details of diagonal bell frames. i had not realised there were quite so many! I still don't know if this type of hanging puts any aditional strain on the tower of is strucurally weaker than the more usual arrangement. Ramsey were unringable for 80 years; at one stage the tower was reputedly unsafe and so was the frame; neither proved to be the case!
