When I was researching for my MPhil I examined the existing records of
bells cast during the period `634-1664 in five of the counties then in the
Diocese of Lincoln (Lincoln, Hertfordshire, Leicester, Bedford and
Buckingham. I have appended the following summary for those who might be
interested :



1634 22; 1635 16; 1636 30; 1637 19



The first Bishop’s War (1638)

The second Bishop’s War (1640)

The Grand Remonstrance (1641)

Interesting. Here's some figures for Wiltshire, though I doubt if they're
complete.



1634, 3; 1635, 8; 1636, 16 (includes 2 Purdue rings of 5); 1637, 3; 1638,
4; 1639, 18 (includes 3 Purdue rings of 5); 1640, 3; 1641, 5; 1642- -46
none; 1647, 3; 1648, 1; 1649, none.



I haven't got any further.
