An obvious one which should have sprung to mind immediately (as it's my home tower!) is that containing the bourdon bell 'Great Peter' in the north-west tower of York Minster. The frame was installed by Charles Oliver, Whitechaepl's bellhanger, for the original Great Peter in 1845. David
