How did these changed bell shapes affect the bells tuning? It affects the casting thickness more than the actual tuning. Standard shaped bells have to be thickened up disproportionatelty in the shoulder to keep the fundamental sharp enough when the bells are of very thick scale. B crooks are even worse in that respect and do make the fundamental a relatively weak partial.
Presumably you haven't used these 'B' crooks in your recent rings of 12? No, Stockton and Rotherham are the last two done with B crooks, both before my time. The sharp treble at Newcastle is - to match the trebles of 12 mention earlier as are the two trebles of 10 at Kingston, Dorset for the same reason.
