unusual clappers

On a recent trip to Leicester I took a picture of the unusual clapper in the
treble (and in some of the other front bells, I think) at St Margaret's.
It's got a pointed piece on either side of the ball where it strikes. The
clapper is by Taylor's and contemporary with the bells of 1921, but I've
never seen anything like it anywhere else. Has anyone else come across any?
