OK, it probably is- it seems that those interviewed are likely to have a
reasonable level knowledge. I assumed it would be the average country parish
ringers, about whom I think my point is valid. Yes, of course there are
exceptions, but my experience is that the majority neither know nor care
much about bells.

That's hardly a valid argument - it doesn't compare like-with-like.
