1200 degrees celsius.
Wouldn't cast that hot myself, unless it was a thin walled casting i.e. a
handbell. Its usually 1050-1070 for a normal sized bell, but as low as 980
for something big - all to do with volume of fluid metal and results. The
comment about the silver coins is relevant though, even if they could be
persuaded to stay in place while the mould was closed, the volume of bell
metal entering the mould and hitting the coins would dissolve them pretty
rapidly.
