I've just seen a piece on "Midlands Today" that showed the tower and spire at Dudley covered in scaffolding, ready for a c.half-million pounds restoration scheme to start. They stated categorically that the bells had been taken down and stored, but would be ringing again in "a few weeks". Anyone able to confirm this? Or is it just more television "artistic licence"?
