Does anyone know where the bells are ( I guess France or Belgium ) that were
given as a war memorial by Sir James Knott. I understand that they might be
in a carillon at one of the war cemeteries. He also gave all 17 bells at St
James & Basil, Fenham, Newcastle upon Tyne, as a memorial to his two sons
although he only deemed it appropriate to hang 8 of them for ringing. - Howard
